Seamless boarding pass retrieval now on AC app
The Airport team and the eCommerce have put the final touches on a seamless and fast way for you to retrieve your boarding pass on the Air Canada app.
This latest development helps employees get their updated boarding passes quickly without impacting our colleagues who are supporting our customers with their various needs before they can board our aircraft.
The process to retrieve your updated boarding pass is simple once you see a green check mark next to your name:
- Go to the AC app
- Go to the Home page
- Click on the three lines at the top-left corner to open the menu
- Click on Boarding pass
- Click on Add boarding pass
- Enter your Booking Reference and Last name; click Add
You should now have your new boarding pass added to the app on your smartphone. There is no need to wait for the gate agent to page you; just board the aircraft according to the zone number noted on your boarding pass.
The system will recognize that your new boarding pass has been downloaded and your name will no longer be on the boarding pass print list, so you will need to board the plane with your mobile BP. Gate agents will not be paging employees as they will have been removed from the CPL.
We also need to be mindful that not everyone has a mobile device. Should this be the case, the system will recognize that the new boarding pass has not downloaded, and you will need to wait for your name to be paged. If you experience a technical issue and cannot download the boarding pass, even if you have a green check mark, you should go to the gate desk to retrieve it.
