Unique Pass
The Unique pass was provided to employees who attended the 2018 Roadshow or to those who won the pass through the lottery. Employees are limited to (1) Unique pass.
Scope & Eligibility
Applies to employees of Air Canada (AC), Air Canada Vacation and AC Rouge.
- Active employee only
- Retired employee is permitted to carry the Unique pass into retirement for 2 years after their retirement date
Rules & Limitations
We want you to enjoy your JSA passes, which is why you should review the information below. It explains how the passes work, when you can use them, and who can enjoy them with you.
NOTE:
The information provided below is pass-specific and complements the rules outlined in the Employee Travel Policy. In other words, the ETP rules still apply unless otherwise stated below.
Rules
Only the employee may travel with this pass
Valid for travel on AC, AC Express carriers, AC Rouge.
Boarding priority is as per the employee’s travel profile (i.e. C1/J10)
Subject to applicable taxes/fees.
Limitations
Permitted to be carried into retirement for 2 years from retirement date.*
Not valid for travel on AC Vacations, Star Alliance, or other airlines.
Not valid for parents, non-dependent children, or travel partners.
Employees who wish to travel with parents, non-dependent children, or partners must list for the flight using C2/Y10 passes.
Not valid for replacement with a C2/Y10 pass in the event an upgrade to business class is not possible at the gate.
* Employees who retired in 2020 or 2021 will be able to carry into retirement until 31 December 2023. ↵
Billing & Allotments
Billing occurs as detailed in the billing section of the travel passes page.
Billing will occur once ANY ONE of the following has taken place
- 30 days have elapsed since the travel began, or
- Eight (8) sectors of travel have been completed, or
- Passenger has returned to point of origin,
Downgrade
Anyone holding a Unique Pass (SA) pass registration but is not accommodated in business class will not be provided another allotment for any reason.
