Perk+ Passes - Positive Space Travel
A yearly annual allotment of Positive space Perk passes are provided to active, retired and survivors of senior management employees. These passes are loaded into the applicable travel profiles on a yearly basis at the time of annual refresh. The passes will appear under the employee name with the allocated bucket of passes. The Perk + passes will be billed according to our new simplified zonal pricing.
Eligibility
- Active Air Canada senior management employee and their spouse
- Retired Air Canada senior management employee and their spouse
- Survivor of Air Canada
- Accompanied dependent children, parent, nominated partners, non-dependent child and accompanied partner
- For purposes of retiree travel privileges, employee must have completed 24 consecutive months of active service (excluding approved leaves of absence, BTR, etc.) in the position they hold at retirement in order to be eligible for the retiree travel privileges associated with that position. If employee has less than 24 consecutive months of active service in the position they hold at retirement and are otherwise eligible for retiree travel privileges, they will be granted passes and priority associated with the position they held immediately prior to the one they held at retirement. For employees with more then 24 consecutive months of active service in the position the product is carried into retirement at half the allotment.
Booking Rules and Regulations
- You can book up to 6 passengers on 1 booking or as per profile.
- Travel is subject to zonal service charge and subject to applicable taxes/airport fees.
- Travel bookings must be made within 21 days of the outbound travel date or as per booking conditions of which you have been previously advised.
- Booking in executive class is subject to Z class availability.
- In the event Z (executive) class is unavailable, booking will be made in H (economy) class with Z (executive) class waitlisted.
- In the event H (economy) class is unavailable, selection of another flight is required.
- In oversell situations, a positive space pass can be denied boarding, and is not eligible for denied boarding compensation.
- Open segments are not permitted.
- Travel partner, parent, and/or children must be accompanied by the employee or spouse on all legs/segments of the trip.
- Each passenger trip whether for one-way or return travel will use up one of your allotted Perk+ passes
- Not eligible for advance seat selection.
- Not eligible for frequent flyer mileage accumulation.
Accessibility Services are available to all eligible employees and should be selected at the time of reservation/booking. Although we will make best efforts to meet your accessibility request(s), we encourage you to book your travel as early as possible within the business travel booking window to assist with processing the request. Moreover, please note that failure to select accessibility services in advance of travel may result in our inability to provide accessibility services.
When requested in a timely manner and depending on the accessibility service(s) requested, seating in certain cabins, classes, or aircraft may not be possible. We will do our best to meet all requests, however we cannot guarantee that all services can be met in all circumstances.
If you are denied boarding due to an oversell/IRROP situation, any confirmed accessibility service requests will be transferred with your Air Canada booking.
*Note: accessibility services do not transfer to OAL. If you are taking an OAL flight and require accessibility services, please contact the airline in question.
Changing priorities:
- Changing from POS (positive space), to SA (space available)
- An employee booked on positive space (pass or revenue) on a flight (eg. Premium Bundle, GO AC etc), is not permitted to change or make a brand new booking on a space available pass on the same flight or different flight within 7 days of flight departure minimum.
Please ensure that you select any accessibility services you may require at time of booking and if you are required to contact Air Canada Accessibility Services, please do so as soon as possible after booking to confirm your accessibility services Our accessibility services.
