Premium Bundle

Positive space pass travel is quite different from space available pass travel as any reservation blocks seats available for sale. The Premium pass is intended to provide you and your accompanied companion(s) with roundtrip ticket to the destination of your choice. The employee or spouse may accompany companions.

The Premium bundle will not be replenished on an annual basis, it is a one-time carryover of remaining POS passes.

The passes in the Premium bundle have no expiry dates and will remain in the employee's profile until used. Unused POS passes in the bundle will transition with the employee into their retirement.

If you happen to be gifted a POS pass throughout the year, it will be added to your Premium bundle.

With positive space travel, special conditions apply.

Rules

Valid for travel on AC, AC Express and AC Rouge

You are permitted to book up to a maximum of 6 passengers on 1 booking which would use a total of 6 passes. This is of course dependent on how many passes you actually have on your profile. A maximum of 5 partners may accompany an employee/retiree/survivor or spouse on flight. To travel with more than 5 partners, an employee/retiree and their spouse must take separate flights and accompany no more than 5 partners on each flight.

Bookings must be made within 21 days of the outbound travel date and must be made with return travel. You may not book two one-ways.

Service charges waived and applicable taxes/airport fees only.

If there is no space in economy cabin, another flight must be selected.

Please note it is prohibited to go by other means and to have restricted flights booked for you in Altea.

Travel partner, parent, and/or children must be accompanied by the employee or spouse on all legs/segments of the trip.

The pass will be decremented if no upgrade to the "O" or "J" cabin occurs

Each passenger trip, for either one-way or return travel will use up one of your allotted Premium bundle.

Boarding priority is PY2/J12.

Limitations

Not valid for travel on AC Vacations, Star Alliance, or other airlines.

Not eligible for advance seat selection.

Not eligible for frequent flyer mileage accumulation.

Not valid for access to Maple Leaf Lounges. Also not valid on any lounges not operated by Air Canada including contract companies and Star Alliance carriers.

Not permitted to use eUpgrades (EUPG).

Accessibility Services are available to all eligible employees and should be selected at the time of reservation/booking. Although we will make best efforts to meet your accessibility request(s), we encourage you to book your travel as early as possible within the business travel booking window to assist with processing the request. Moreover, please note that failure to select accessibility services in advance of travel may result in our inability to provide accessibility services.

When requested in a timely manner and depending on the accessibility service(s) requested, seating in certain cabins, classes, or aircraft may not be possible. We will do our best to meet all requests, however we cannot guarantee that all services can be met in all circumstances.

If you are denied boarding due to an oversell/IRROP situation, any confirmed accessibility service requests will be transferred with your Air Canada booking.

*Note: accessibility services do not transfer to OAL. If you are taking an OAL flight and require accessibility services, please contact the airline in question.

Travel bookings must be made within 21 days of the outbound travel date or as per booking conditions of which you have been previously advised and must be made with a return travel. The return travel must be within 30 days of the outbound travel date.

Booking in economy class is subject to H class availability.

Please keep in mind that the inventory in the applicable booking class must be available. If you are unable to make a booking, it means that the inventory is not available, and you must select another day or flight.

In some cases, you may see there is cabin space availability, however, if you are unable to book it, it means that the designated booking class (different than booking space) in the Y cabin is not available. You may not book two one-ways.

In oversell/IRROP situations, a positive space pass can be denied boarding, and is not eligible for any denied boarding compensation.

Please ensure that you select any accessibility services you may require at time of booking and if you are required to contact Air Canada Accessibility Services, please do so as soon as possible after booking to confirm your accessibility services Our accessibility services.

Billing

Trips may or may not happen as planned, which is why you are only charged for trips taken ( not for booked PNRs). As you board a flight (planned or unplanned), a "record" of travel is automatically generated and you will be billed for the flights actually flown .

Regardless of the boarding priority you booked or used, billing will occur upon completion of one of the following, whichever comes first:
