Baggage Policy

This policy presents the rules governing baggage allowance for employees of Air Canada (AC). It covers various scenarios including cabin crew, standby, business travel, etc. Its purpose is to help you understand how much baggage you can bring with you when travelling either for business (and while you are working) or as a contingent traveller using personal travel passes.

Scope & Eligibility

This policy applies to all AC, AC Rouge and AC Express flights:

Useful Definitions

A small item such as a purse, small backpack or laptop case that can be brought on a flight in addition to a carry-on item.

Rules & Limitations

As AC employees, we all have a responsibility to protect Air Canada’s image. We must be mindful of the perception we create in the eyes of our customers when we travel for personal or business reasons. You can make a positive difference by respecting the rules outlined in this policy, especially when it comes to carry-on baggage, for which space is limited.

Rules

The new cabin crew luggage, which replaced the old black and red Bentley luggage, may be used for personal travel with the crew identifiers removed.

Rules

Comply with Air Canada’s carry-on baggage policy, which is available on www.aircanada.com.

Check carry-on luggage whenever possible in order to leave storage space in the cabin for our revenue customers.

If a carry-on item must be checked, additional fees may apply if it goes over the baggage allowance.
