Known Issues

The Employee Travel Site can sometimes have some bugs and issues and we are working hard to fix them. Find workarounds for known issues and their status in the latest version of the website.

There are currently no known issues in the current version of ETS!

Title Description Workaround Status
Err: [0], cannot modify a POS booking.

This error occurs when trying to modify a POS (reserved seat) flight and the reservation system (Altea) is rejecting the new fare combination.

The Employee Travel Site (ETS) provides employees with greater flexibility than regular customers by allowing them to build their itinerary with almost any flight combination available (please see POS policies for guidelines).

This flexibility is a great advantage but also has a downside. It may happen, that the reservation system (Altea) do not accept the new combination of fares and booking classes and rejects the modification even though there is nothing wrong with the flights themselves.

If possible, try with another flight. If not possible, you can create a new booking and cancel the one you are trying to modify.  Working as design
Cannot book standby on PVG-ICN, DUB-DEL, or HKG-ICN

Itineraries containing one of these segments cannot be booked standby online:

  • PVG-ICN,
  • DUB-DEL, or
  • HKG-ICN.

Unfortunately, these can only be booked manually through the Employee Call Center, since we are not selling these legs to the general public.

These can only be booked online using a POS (reserved seat) for the entire trip. To do a standby booking, you need to contact the Employee Call Center. Working as design because of the system limitation
No availability for POS booking even if seats are available when searching in standby

Not all seats available can be booked using a POS (reserved seat). If you are unable to make a booking, it means that the inventory is not available, and you must select another day or flight.

In some cases, you may see there is cabin space availability, however, if you are unable to book it, it means that the designated booking class (different than booking space) in the Y cabin is not available.

Error [EIP-0000] - PAX(S) BOARDED OR CHECKED-BAGS (do not translate)

This error occurs when trying to modify a booking on which at least one passengers is checked-in.

Once you are checked-in on a flight you cannot cancelled or modified this booking, to do so please cancel your check-in.

Make sure to cancel check-in for all passengers and try the flight modicication again. You can cancel check-in using the online check-in tool. A change is under review to advise you if there is a checked-in passenger before you try to modify or cancel your booking.
Air Canada Vacations link generating a 500 error page

Some users may face diffculties accessing  ACV page (either the Employee or the Family link) by getting the 500 error page.

This issue is sporadic and usually don't last long. Please close your browser completely and try again. Under investigation
